A busy Saturday for Manheim volunteers. Our Saturday morning started off with a total of 9 volunteers taking and testing for 3 different classes Emergency Medical Responder, Essentials of Firefighting and Command Operations with Fire Chief Rick Lasky of Fire Engineering. Barn Fire
December 30
Around 10pm tonight, LCWC dispatched Fire Department Mount Joy to the 2800 block of Zink Road in Rapho Township for a reported barn fire. Crews arrived to find a large barn that was well involved with fire and multiple exposures at risk; a 2nd alarm was requested. Compost Fire

Currently crews are out assisting Penryn Fire with a large pile of compost burning inside a building. This incident has been on going since early this morning.
