Dwelling Fire in the Boro

February 18, 2017

This afternoon, Station 26 along with mutual aid companies were dispatched to Manheim Boro for a dwelling fire. Engine 26-1 arrived with a working fire in a two story detached home. Crews knocked a bulk of the fire on the porch and front of the house before making entry to extinguish the fire that had spread into the first and second floor. Due to balloon frame construction, the fire spread to the attic and walls of the house. Station 26 was assisted by Station 23 (East Petersburg), Station 25 (Lititz), Station 27 (Mastersonville), Station 28 (Penryn), Station 75 (Mount Joy) and Station 7 (Mountville).
