A busy Saturday for Manheim volunteers. Our Saturday morning started off with a total of 9 volunteers taking and testing for 3 different classes Emergency Medical Responder, Essentials of Firefighting and Command Operations with Fire Chief Rick Lasky of Fire Engineering. During these classes members also attended the viewing service for Claudia Connelly. Then during the afternoon crews handle 4 calls of service from a vehicle fire, automatic fire alarm, gas leak and alarm bells. Then during the evening, the crews enjoyed a meal and some bonding time and then traveled to our neighbors the Fire Department of Mt. Joy for some bail out training. To top off the night the Rescue, Engine, Duty officer, Life Lion EMS, and Manheim Borough Police welcomed home the MC girls basketball team from the PA. state championship.
