On behalf of the Manheim Fire Department, I would like send a sincere thank you to all the department’s from around Lancaster County along with some departments from Chester County and Lebanon County that assisted us through the flooding in our area. Many rescues were made of residents through the use of boats along with the use of Rescue’s and Squad companies to bring Manheim residents to safety. It was also amazing to see the outpouring of support in assisting us with hundreds and hundreds of pump details that needed to be accomplished for residents to be able to return to their homes.
