Around 1:30 am crews were dispatched to the corner of Main Street and Stiegel Street for alarm bells sounding. Engine and Truck 26 made the response arriving to find a alarm sounding in the basement. While crews were making entry they encountered a basement charged with smoke and heat. First in crews reported the findings and the alarm was upgraded to the building fire. Crews quickly located the small fire and extinguished. When no extension was found the incident was scaled back reassigning Engine 28-1 (Penryn Fire Company No. 1) to Manheim.
