| Yesterday was a busy day for members. The building committee members met at the firehouse with speedwell construction to go over progress. If you have walked by or drove by recently you'll notice the floor is gone, doors are gone. Prep work for the in-floor heat will begin this week and the new floor could start being poured shortly after. Everything looks like it remains on track for an early January move in date.
Crews also handled 4 calls for service yesterday. 3 vehicle accidents and a standby. 3 of these calls were back-to-back and overlapped calls. The engine was on a standby when the rescue was dispatched to the accident involving a tractor. While the rescue was still on scene the engine was returning to station when LCWC notified Rescue 26 of another call in the district. The Engine responded right away along with Rescue 23 (East Petersburg) the Engine quickly downgraded the incident.
