On Friday, Crews responded to a CO detector activation in Penn Township. Upon arrival, high levels of CO were detected in the house. The issue was traced back to a gas hot water heater vent pipe that failed in the basement. The house was ventilated and crews rechecked the house finding no levels of CO after the issue was mitigated. If the residents of the house did not have a CO detector, the outcome of this call could have been much different.
