Busy Few Days

Volunteers have remained busy since Friday. Friday started with a vehicle accident during the morning rush. Later in the afternoon the volunteers were dispatched to the mobile home fire in FDMJ first due. The Engine, Truck and Tanker made the response with 12 members and assisted with various task on the fire ground before returning.

Saturday night Tanker 26 was alerted to assist Blue Rock Fire as part of the 2nd tanker task force on the barn fire. Crews assisted with dropping a portable tank and delivering water from the fill site to the scene.

Early Sunday morning just after 3:30am the volunteers were alerted to Market Square for an apartment building fire. Captain 26( Seace) arrived and confirmed a working fire on the 2nd floor delta side porch. Engine 26-1 arrived and deployed the 300 foot attack line. The engine crew made quick work of the fire and checked for extension. When no extension the assignment was downgraded and held to the Engine and Truck.

During this call county fire informed Captain 26 that they had a 2nd call pending to assist the police department in Penn Valley Village. Captain 26 was able to free rescue 23 (East Petersburg) to handle this call.
