February 5, 2021

Units were called to assist UGI with a gas leak on N. Grant St. UGI arrived and during their investigation they were met with very high readings inside and outside the property. UGI immediately moved to an emergency mode and notified all utilities. The gas leak assignment was dispatched bringing several local fire companies to the location within minutes. Chief 26 arrived and was briefed by UGI on the situation. The gas had been controlled and upon the arrival of Engine 26-1, they were given the assignment of ventilation. UGI continued to monitor the site and no other actions were required once ventilation was completed as readings fell within a safe range. Units were able to clear within the hour. FDMJ, Penryn, and Mastersonville assisted at the scene.
